Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the practice of balancing the body's energy to improve the your health. Researchers found that acupuncture significantly reduces pain and improves function for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee who have moderate or severe pain despite taking pain medication. Acupuncture can also be helpful for vascular problems, muscle spasm and dyaesthetic problems. It is also helpful with relief of pain associated with: headaches, Migraines, numbness and low back pain.
Dr. Erin Gallaher is a Doctor of Chiropractic and is one of only a handful of practitioners in the Central Ohio area to hold a Certificate to practice Acupuncture.
Ohio Bureau of Worker's Comp, auto accident insurance and some private insurances cover acupuncture. New patient appointments are available on Thursdays.

Acupuncture can intercept messages sent by the brain to the body that demand more nicotine, thereby disrupting the addictive process. It can eliminate most cravings, calm the nerves and increase will power but cannot eliminate the habit. Acupuncture can only work if you are ready to quit and willing to commit to the process.

Treatment:
Your care will consist of acupuncture treatments at 3-5 days in a row the first week then as needed for 2nd and 3rd week. Herbal supplements may be prescribed in addition.
